Sat., Oct. 31. **Nace Brothers** perform at the annual Halloween party, Players, 627 E. Russell.

Sun., Nov. 1. **Church of the Brethren** **Fellowship Singalong ..** 2-3 pm at the Old Courthouse and **community Schoolhouse jam**, 3-5 pm at the Schoolhouse, 302 N. Main Street.

Wed., Nov. 4. Showing of **Metal: A Head-Bangers Journey**, //Roots Music Film Festival//, 6:00 at 100 Wood Hall, UCM.

Fri., Nov. 6. **Fast Food Lawn Chair (Ska band) & Jib Jab Jones and the Indigo Circus (acoustic)** perform at 5 p.m. **Eric Best** performs, in the //Eclectic Café Concert Series// hosted by Eddie Osborne, 7 pm, Old Courthouse, 306 Main.

A native of Chilhowee but
now in Indiana, Eric Best
plays guitar in the style of
Chet Atkins & Jerry Reed. 
Sat., Nov. 7. **Grand Finale Concert**, with the Nace Brothers, the Eclectic Café Concert performers, and special guests, 7 pm at Hendricks Hall, UCM. (Afterwards, INCENDIO Fire Troupe will perform on the lawn)

During the New Harmonies Exhibit, on a special day--"Lorenzo Manley Day" we were treated to a spontaneous concert by "The Hat" himself, he hadn't played for a while, but there was an audience... and he really warmed up to it. enjoy!. Special thanks to Stephanie Ritter for capturing this moment on video!!!

Arkie was originally Luther Ossenbrink from Knob Noster, Missouri
He was the singing cowboy and square dance caller on the WLS Barn Dance
for decades --broadcast from Chicago throughout the midwest.

Sun., Sept. 13. **JCHS Annual Meeting** with the **Nace Brothers** performing //Roots of the Nace Brothers//. 2:00 at the Old Courthouse, 302 N. Main Street.
Formed in 1981, the Nace Brothers

**Ron McKay’s** //Forgotten Oldies// on KOKO will feature Johnson County music throughout the first week of October.

Thur., Oct. 1. **Music: Explore the Possibilities**. An instrument-making workshop for kids with UCM Professor of Music Education **Carla Maltas**. 5:30-7:30 at the Warrensburg Community Center, 445 E Gay.
Fri., Oct. 2. **JCHS** **Benefit Sneak Preview** of the New Harmonies Exhibit. Refreshments provided. 5-7 pm at the Culp Building, 302 N. Main Street. $20 tickets are available.
Sat., Oct. 3. **New Harmonies Exhibit** opens to public, 10 am to 7 pm, Culp Building.

Sat. Oct. 3. Pianist **John Davis** performs the music of Blind Boone and Blind Tom, //UCM Performing Arts Series//, Hart Recital Hall, 7:30.
Davis has devoted himself to the music of "Blind Boone" & "Blind Tom" .
His program is an eclectic mix of classical and popular music of the era.
His //Marshfield// //Tornado recording// is a tribute to Boone. 

Sun., Oct. 4. **Children’s Music Workshop Making Music**. An instrument-making workshop for kids, with **James Becker**, 1:00, at the Historical Society, 302 N Main. 

Sun., Oct. 4. The **New Century Dulcimer Ensemble** performs at the //West Central Missouri Genealogy Society’s annual Cemetery Walk//, 2-5 pm, Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Wed., Oct. 7. LORENZO MANLEY Day in Warrensburg, last minute concert and proclamation from the City of
Warrensburg for a man whose group was the house band at the Grand Emporium in KC and who played with Ike and Tina Turner. (Sorry you missed it but look for it on the rosemariekinder channel on youtube.com.
